Double – Disc Check – Type Discs

These discs are made up of two discs that are hinged together. When the flow is in the forward direction, the discs open, allowing the fluid to pass through. When the flow reverses, the discs close, preventing backflow.

This type of disc is useful in applications where you need to prevent the reverse flow of fluid, such as in pumping systems. It combines the functionality of a gate valve and a check valve in one unit, which can save space and reduce the number of components in a pipeline.
